Áron Alföldi and Balázs Szabó recently traveled to Pembroke, Malta, for the kick-off meeting of the project “Youth Work Seal” supported by an Erasmus+ program. They rightly represented the Hungarian partner, our association, as they have participated in numerous international projects, are familiar with NGO mission, objectives, and work with young people and professionals who work with them. In the words of the participants, the memory of the experience:
Áron Alföldi:
This meeting was a preparatory meeting for a later training course organized in Sardinia. Perhaps because of this, it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had: the environment, Malta’s island, is a marvelous, attractive rock in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, we experienced the celebration of the island’s independence, and we learned a lot about how Erasmus works, project organization, and, last but not least, about the cultures of the participants.
Balázs Szabó:
The theme of the project is to recognize youth work and its quality development in this area as a fundamental part of youth policies at the local level, strengthening its European dimension at the local level. Together, we created a questionnaire,
which will serve support online participation. Naturally, these thematic topics align with the European Union’s long-term strategic objectives. Moreover, the project was very useful in terms of building connections, as new collaborations were formed among partner organizations from different countries.
