The power of the Youth Work Seal

Youth work as a whole is an incredible power. Not only does it bring people from all corners of the World together in order to achieve something no one man can do on his own, but it also provides opportunity for developement for everyone involved: the givers and the receivers. It develops the people who are making it happen and the people who are a part of it. However, it is given neither the recognition nor the resources it would need in order to implement some real change.

The goal of this project is to promote youth work in its quality development as part of the youth policies at the local level as well as supporting its European dimension.

The goals of the project are:

– To contribute to enhancing the European dimensions of youth work at the local level;
– To improve the quality of informal education and learning;
– To develop strategies to develop youth work with the involvement of different actors such as youth, policy makers and shareholders;
– To create a paper/charter inspired by “The European Charter on Local Youth Work” that can influence youth policy making for the recognition of youth work.

The project hopes to reach it’s goals through:

– Local activities (seminars, roundtables, sports events,media campaigns, sharing polls and surveys, activites that stimulate the participation);
– International activities (kickoff meeting in Malta/international seminar in Italy/final event in Bruxelles);
– Main output (A charter containing proposal(s) and recommendations; A final video which resumes the experience of participants at the project activities).

Youth has the power! It’s up to you what you build with it!
