DIMERA, in the city of Marijampolė, hosted a tabletop game tournament. This event brought together young people and local policymakers. The primary aim was to bridge the gap between the youth and the city’s council members, offering a platform where ideas could be exchanged in an informal yet impactful setting. This innovative approach was designed to empower the younger generation, allowing them to interact directly with those in positions of authority and influence within the community. The participants might take a challenge in chess, table-tennis, pool and kahoot game.

The friendly competition provided a relaxed atmosphere for dialogue and interaction, young attendees found it enlightening to engage with council members outside the formal confines of council meetings or public hearings. They could discuss their ideas, concerns, and aspirations for Marijampolė in a setting that promoted open and honest communication. Council members, on the other hand, gained valuable insights into the perspectives and priorities of the youth. The informal setting allowed them to connect on a personal level, fostering a greater sense of community and shared purpose.
